Reunions are normally held every three or four years in Adelaide, South Australia, with the most recent reunion held in October 2023.

The next reunion is tentatively planned for October 2026. More details to come.

A short history of reunions

The first reunion was held in 1984 at Houghton, South Australia. Two years later the 1986 reunion was held as part of the South Australian 150th bicentennial celebrations. 

At the 1988 reunion it was decided to update the book The Australians of a Branch of the Pitman Family, and just two years later, at the 1990 reunion, the updated book Pitman Families in Australia: 1838-1990 was launched.

Reunions continued in 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2007.

The 2010 reunion celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the book launch, and the release of the 20th Anniversary DVD. Copies of the DVD are still available for purchase through this website.

Reunions continued in 2013 and 2016, but the reunion planned for 2020 had to be delayed due to COVID and was finally held in 2023!
