Around 55 family and friends gathered for the 16th Pitman Reunion held at Banksia Park, South Australia on Saturday 21 October 2023. Attendees were from Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania as well as regional South Australia and Adelaide.

More than 30 people sent their apologies, many with hoping to attend next time.
A feature of this reunion was the demonstration of work that the Committee had done to
- Modernise the feel and function of our website, and
- Share family tree information using FamilySearch (living persons not included for privacy reasons)

Marlene Pitman demonstrated how the information is now available to all family members and how updates can be done.
The FamilySearch Help Desk provided answers to more detailed questions.
The Committee will continue to maintain records for living members privately, so births, deaths and marriages can still be notified via Family Updates.
The new venue and format this year proved most successful, with the Gully Uniting Church Hall being a very suitable location for a reunion. A lovely afternoon tea was shared; thank you to all the attendees who brought plates to share.
An excellent display of memorabilia from the committee and attendees generated much interest and discussion. There was favourable feedback on the online trees project and on the day’s organisation.
As per tradition, group family photos were taken. See the Reunion 2023 album on Facebook for more reunion photos.
A date has not been set for the next reunion, but, as there is interest in continuing, possible dates will be considered and published via this website.
